Security

This page describes how LushyChat approaches security and safety at a high level. It is not an exhaustive technical specification; it is meant to help you use the product responsibly.

Your controls in the product

You can end a match immediately, block users who behave badly, and use reporting flows when someone violates our rules or makes you unsafe. These tools exist so you are never required to stay in a conversation that feels wrong.

  • Skip / leave — Leave the current match without needing to explain why.
  • Block — Reduce the chance of repeat contact according to how blocking is implemented in the product.
  • Report — Escalate behavior that may violate policy or law so our team can review. See Reporting for more.

Transport and sessions

Connections to our website and APIs use HTTPS. Real-time video and audio typically rely on WebRTC and related protocols as supported by your browser and device; data in transit is protected using industry-standard transport security appropriate to those channels.

A video chat is still a live conversation with another person. Do not treat it as a private vault: avoid sharing passwords, financial information, home address, or anything you would regret if repeated or recorded. Use strong, unique passwords for your account if you sign in, and protect your device with a screen lock.

Moderation and enforcement

We use a combination of automated signals, user reports, and human review where appropriate to enforce our policies. We may warn, restrict, or terminate accounts that pose risk to others or to the integrity of the service. We cannot guarantee real-time review of every session.

Privacy and data

Security and privacy overlap—for example, what we log when you report an incident, or how long we retain certain records. That detail lives in our Privacy policy.
